We not only help you plan your Big Day but also work with you on everything in between. We can guide you, your family and guests to the best accommodations Maui has to offer and book fun activities to do all week. We love to offer advice on the best restaurants, shopping, snorkeling, surf spots . . . anything you need to know.

yawc-staff-2We decided to start Your Aloha Wedding Company to plan weddings here on Maui the way we would want ours to be planned. Your Aloha Wedding Company was started by three friends seasoned in the wedding industry in different backgrounds from coordinating to photography to catering.

We make sure your event flows smoothly and handle everything on your day so that you wont need to worry about a thing!

We also offer one of the finest teams of photographers and videographers in the business. They capture every moment from the wedding party getting ready to the last dance of the night with a unique touch that captures your memories for a lifetime.

Originally from Washington, D.C., I moved to Maui to pursue a new career and found my niche in coordinating weddings. I traveled the world for a year before “landing” on Maui and fell in love with it’s beauty and people. I have a background as a professional equestrian and as a software sales manager. I graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.A. in English and Art History. Coordinating weddings has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Getting to know each couple in such a way that ensures their wedding is completely about their style and taste is something I look forward to from our first contact. Planning such a special event over the course of a year and seeing it come to fruition is truly remarkable. I am honored when asked to be a part of it.

Veronica feels the best part of being a wedding coordinator is creating a day to remember with each couple. Helping couples plan one of the happiest days of their lives makes her happy. Planning out every detail and watching it come to life is extremely rewarding. The smiles, tears of joy, and celebrations of love that she experiences with each wedding are some of the best moments of her life.

Veronica baked cakes and sweets for weddings for many years. She loved the things she saw and felt when she would deliver for her clients’ big days. She also enjoyed a few years of working with wedding coordinators and couples as a co-coordinator and a floral design assistant. These experiences, along with her attention to detail, creativity, and organizational skills, led her to becoming a great wedding coordinator.

Veronica also has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in Library & Information Science from University of Hawaii, Manoa.

She grew up in a small, rural community southwest of Phoenix, Arizona, called Laveen. She then moved to central Phoenix where she lived for ten years. She ultimately moved to Maui fourteen years ago and has found home. The things she loves best about Maui are the beaches, ocean and mountains.

When she’s not planning weddings, she loves to go to the beach, stand-up paddle boarding, and just be out in nature. She also spends her time reading, doing yoga, dancing, traveling, cooking, and baking.

Tara decided to become a wedding planner because she loves working with people!  She feels that a wedding is one of the most exciting, fun, and special days of her couples’ lives, and she loves being a part of such a magical day.

What she loves the most about planning weddings is all of the organization that goes into them. Her first experience planning an event was actually the Junior Prom in high school. She was class president and learned she had a knack for being in charge. She later worked at some of Maui’s top restaurants where she gained the experience and background that lead her to working at events and weddings.

Tara was born on a little island in the Mediterranean called Ibiza. When she was young and living in Ibiza, she and her mother loved to travel. After a visit to Hawaii when she was 7 years old, they decided to move here. She grew up on Maui and later moved to Los Angeles where she graduated from Santa Monica College.

What she loves most about Maui are the “aloha” spirit, the people, and the laid back island lifestyle. Anywhere you go on Maui you can expect to be greeted with a smile, and people genuinely care for one another.

Her favorite things to do on Maui are to go to the beach, surfing, mountain biking, jump in waterfall pools, and go to the top of Haleakala for the sunrise or sunset.  She also spends a lot of time practicing yoga (she’s a trained yoga teacher!) and making jewelry.

Marlene was born and raised in Upcountry Maui. She brings a tremendous “Spirit of Aloha” with her to every wedding and often shares her knowledge of Hawaiian history with you and your guests. She is also a local farmer who raises angus cattle as well as a huge variety of local fruits, vegetables and exotic orchids. Marlene has a keen eye for decor and helps ensure the smooth transitioning of events throughout your wedding day. She has an extensive background in catering, local dining and event setup which makes her a great fit for our team.

John was born and raised in Ocean Port, New Jersey, and moved to Maui in 2011. He has a background in building custom homes. He is a great asset to our team as he is organized, energetic and ready to help vendors & guests alike at a moment’s notice. He loves to meet people from around the world and to be part of a great wedding celebration.
