Congratulations Nicole and Scott married at Honua Kai Lani in Makena! This sweet couple met at a yoga retreat on Maui and thus it made the perfect location for them to get married!
This couple decided to throw an all white wedding and it turned out beautiful and elegant! Guests were first treated to a traditional Hawaiian ceremony from Rev. Kelvin Ho of Kauai. The couple did the cultural washing of the hands, exchanging of leis, among many other Hawaiian traditions. Megan Spelman of Bikini Birdie Photography on Oahu captured the bride in all the most special moments with her artistic photography style. The bride flew in videographer Mark Brown from California to film the wedding with super 8 film. Catering and bar service were provided by Brian Etheridge of Private Maui Chef. The cake was made by a friend of the bride, Julie Nolan, who is a pastry chef at the Four Seasons Maui. Teresa Sena Designs provided the beautiful Hawaiian florals for the occassion. The bride chose to stick with local florals and kept to a pallate of simple greenery with touches of light pink which came through in the protea and ginger. The florals complemented the natural wood tables and tropical style chairs.
Rentals were provided by Signature Events, Hawaiian Style Event Rentals, and Rio Events set up one of their famous Sperry tents. Cambria Moss provided music for the ceremony and afterwards DJ Chris of Clarity Entertainment took over and had the guests dancing the night away. The brides hair and makeup was done by the wonderful stylists of Maui Makeup Artistry and transportation was provided by Roberts Hawaii. On-site coordination was provided by Kara and Tara.
This sweet wedding couldn’t have been more perfect!
