Maui Officiants

Pia Aluli

Pia Aluli was born and raised on the island of Oahu. His mother was from Maui so as a Keiki they would spend their summer vacations visiting family and enjoying Maui. In 1968 he moved to Maui from Oahu to enjoy the country lifestyle, surf and canoe paddle. He has spent most of his life performing Hawaiian music for hotels, restaurants, conventions and weddings. He has also toured extensively in Canada and the mainland sharing his culture and Hawaiian music.

In 1998 Pia decided to redirect his life and become a minister, something he had an interest and desire to do for a long time. He still plays Hawaiian music, but these days he is largely focused on officiating. “It is a joyful, meaningful way to connect with people”, Pia says. Weddings are happy times, and here in Maui we have the perfect setting to make it a truly memorable occasion. The excitement that Pia feels from each couple is contagious. He is honored and blessed to be a part of the ceremony. Click to view their ceremony outline.

Joe Miles

I have been officiating on Maui since 2005 and I have always considered it a privilege to be a wedding officiant for it is a deep honor to share with couples their very special day. I view performing a wedding ceremony to be like watching a sunset for each ceremony is unique and beautiful and awe-inspiring, just as the couples are. Each couple deserves the care and attention that makes their wedding their own. This is one reason I am so open to customizing my ceremonies: I do everything I can to make it fitting and individual for each couple. Click to view their ceremony outline.

Derick Sebastian

There’s nothing more beautiful than witnessing Love and the merging of two hearts as they choose to beat as one. As a licensed and ordained Minister, the “words” I impart come from the heart with passion and truth. It’s been a calling to realize my deeper sense of purpose for weddings, and my desire to share even more in the organic moments as we celebrate with family, friends and loved ones during this unforgettable time.

I also take great joy in performing in song, as I've done so professionally for many years on an array of national and international stages, with many wonderful weddings along the way. My “music” comes from deep within. As our universal language, music is an expression of love intended to embrace both of your souls as you’re being united. While my purpose is assisting in the union of two people, it is just as valuable making this milestone experience pleasant, meaningful and memorable for everyone.

I’m beyond-happily married for 15 years to my wife and soulmate, Raymi, and we’re blessed with three incredible sons, Santana, Marley and Jackson. With Faith and Family as my foundation, I am truly blessed to perform the ceremony of Marriage, an institution I believe in and remain committed to with pride and joy.
