How to Enjoy Your Engagement Without a Party
COVID changed the way the world operates, and that extends to engagement celebrations. While big engagement parties were once commonplace, that’s not the case anymore. And, even without COVID, there may be barriers that keep you from being able to meet with your loved ones face to face. Thus, if you find yourself engaged and wanting to celebrate, but unable to have a party, don’t despair. There are still plenty of fun, safe things you can do to enjoy your engagement.
Plan A Picture Party
You and your beloved can still pose for engagement photos. And, even better yet, you can still get everyone in on the fun. Once your photos are complete, send them out to your friends and family via email or on social media. Then, take things one step further for some extra fun.
Ask your pals to get in on the action by pasting themselves into your photos or adding silly captions. You could even have a contest for the best photo addition. It’s a great way to share and spread your photos and your news without spreading sickness in the process.
Do A Big Reveal
If you’ve already decided on a wedding location, add some fun to your engagement by “teasing” your friends with hints about where the wedding will be. If you’re getting married in Maui, for example, you could send out a photo with a beach background, then one with a border of Hawaiian flowers, and so on. You may even want to offer a prize to the first person to guess your planned wedding location.
Plan A Virtual Meet
These days, online meetings are commonplace. So, why not gather up your nearest and dearest on Zoom, Teams, or another virtual meeting platform? It’s the perfect way to reveal your engagement news, share details, or show off your engagement photos. Plus, it’s the next best thing to having your loved ones together in the flesh.
Coronavirus is no fun, but that doesn’t mean your engagement has to be a bust. Get creative and be willing to go with the flow. You may just discover some new, exciting, and wonderfully unexpected ways to celebrate your engagement.
