Fun, Fabulous Wedding Favors
Weddings are special events. As such, it makes sense that your guests will want something special to remember yours by. Your wedding favors are your chance to give them just that. But, what should those favors be? That’s ultimately up to you. But, if you’re out of ideas, consider these super fun ones.
Gift Certificates
Traditionally, a wedding favor is something that a guest can keep forever. However, what’s more permanent than an amazing memory? That’s why many couples give gift certificates or “experiences” to their wedding guests.
If you’re getting married in Maui, for example, you could give your special guests a trip to go dolphin watching or a gift certificate to a cool local shop. No matter where your wedding is held, the possibilities are endless. Your guests are sure to love the idea. Plus, you can always give them a small, physical token to keep as well. That way, you get to uphold tradition while still doing something new and fun.
Photos
Everyone loves photos, and these days, it’s rare to have actual photos that you can hold in your hands. Thus, your guests are sure to love special photos from your wedding. Set up a station where you can get a quick picture with each attendee. Or, for even more fun, have a photo booth onsite for guests to enjoy at their leisure. Alternately, you can prepare meaningful photos ahead of time and put them in small frames as a nice token of your appreciation.
Mugs
Who doesn’t love a nice, sturdy mug? They make wonderful wedding favors, ones your guests will actually use. Furthermore, you can even personalize them. Have each one made with a picture of you and your partner or with the special date printed on the side. Or, if you have some time and a smaller guest list, you could even include the recipient’s name or initials. Feeling extra generous? Provide bags of local coffee and/or tea to make each mug even more enjoyable.
Wedding favors are a sweet way to thank your loved ones for being a part of the festivities. Any of these ideas can work very well, or you can just use them as inspiration. And, remember, ultimately, it’s not what you give that matters, but the thought and love behind it.
