Easy Ways to Fund Your Wedding
Once upon a time, it was customary for the bride’s parents to pay for the entire wedding. These days, however, that isn’t really considered fair or feasible for the average family. Fortunately, though, there are lots of smart, unique, and inventive ways to afford an amazing wedding . . . without putting all that pressure on the bride’s mom and dad!
Accept Contributions
Instead of sticking all of the responsibility on one family, accept contributions from others if offered. Many times the grooms parents, grandparents and others close to you will make an offer. Graciously accept and make certain to say “Thank You” in a profound way.
Curb Spending
Also, make certain you and your fiancee are ready and willing to contribute to your big day also. In the months leading up to your wedding, reduce your spending as much as possible. You might have to sacrifice going out to eat as often or a few of your subscription services, but it will be well worth it when you have a great wedding to show for it!
Stay in the States
A wedding overseas may seem incredibly romantic and exotic, but it’s also one of the quickest ways to accumulate costs. Thus, for best results, keep your wedding in the states. This isn’t to say you can’t travel, but going international may be a bit much for you and your guests to afford. Plus, there’s really no reason to, not when you have beautiful, in-the-country options, such as Maui.
Paying for a wedding is never easy. However, if you can follow this advice and maybe come up with some ideas of your own, it might just be simpler than you bargained for!
