Wedding Exit

WEDDING EXIT

There is always so much significance place on your Maui wedding entrance that we often forget that there is an excellent value in creating a fun a unique exit!

For decades throwing rice was the wedding exit standard. With the increased knowledge of how this practice can affect birds and the safety of the guests (it's a slipping hazard), couples are opting for alternatives.

In keeping with our eco-friendly theme, there are several viable options. One of the most popular is throwing lavender or other seasonal herbs. Beautifully aromatic, lavender is also environmentally friendly and an extremely affordable tossing option as you make your way out of the ceremony and into your future. Filling small personalized organza pouches with this scented herb or others such as rosemary or mint can also be a keepsake your guests use in the future for rings or other jewelry. Another dual-purpose option is utilizing small church bells tied together with ribbon and a personalized tag that are great as a party favor. You could also use them as a holiday tree ornament as a forever remembrance of the special day and union.

If church bells and scented herbs aren't your things, there has also been a surge in ribbon wands. Ribbon tied to a rod coordinating with your wedding palette is a fun option. Upon your departure, your guests can create and ribbon waving arch for you to descend under to your awaiting escape vehicle! If that doesn't fit the bill providing small vials of bubbles in a decorative basket with a tag encouraging participation upon your departure is another excellent option.

Remember, your wedding exit can be just as memorable as your entrance, so allow yourself the freedom to think outside of tradition.
