3 Extras to Remember on Your Big Day

3 Extras to Remember on Your Big Day

As you prepare for your wedding day, you’re probably making countless lists of the things you absolutely need. If you’re getting married in Maui or somewhere exotic, you might keep reminding yourself about plane tickets, IDs, and carry-ons. Or, maybe you’re just trying not to forget the basics, like your clothes, shoes, and accessories.

In all the fuss, though, there are some smaller items that often get forgotten, as well as items you didn’t even know you needed. In an effort to help you get ultra-prepared for your big day, here are some of those surprising but absolutely necessary things to bring along.

Item #1: Extra Earring Backs

If you’re wearing earrings on your special day, bring along a few pairs of extra backs or clips. You’d be surprised at how easy it is, especially with wedding-day jitters, to drop these things. Then, you’re forced to crawl around on your hands and knees, in a wedding dress, trying to find them! It’s much better to just have extras on hand, ideally for you and the members of your wedding party.

Item #2: Storage-Friendly Garment Bags

If you don’t already have garment bags for your wedding clothes, you absolutely do need them. They can be a lifesaver when it comes to protecting your attire from spilled drinks, dirty floors, and more. Ideally, though, you don’t want just any garment bags. Try and choose bags that feature convenient storage compartments. This will give you the perfect place for storing jewelry and other “extras” you may need.

Item #3: A Pair of Comfortable Shoes

If you’re like most brides-to-be, then your wedding shoes are probably very pretty, but not so comfortable. In that case, bring along a pair of comfortable shoes, ideally flats, for after the ceremony. You shouldn’t be uncomfortable during your reception. That’s your time to cut loose and have fun, and the right shoes can really help in that department.

If you plan for it properly, your wedding day can be truly amazing. However, you do have to plan, and you have to plan down to the last detail. Thankfully, these small but vital details are a great place to start!
